The crab fishing excursion in Puerto Almanza offers an unforgettable experience that combines the scenic beauty of the journey to the fishing village with the excitement of participating in the crab harvesting and the gastronomic delicacies of the region.
The trip begins by leaving the hotel and going on a journey of approximately 75 km to Puerto Almanza.
This picturesque journey crosses glacial valleys adorned with towering snow-capped peaks, meandering rivers, lagoons and peat bogs, offering travelers a unique visual spectacle.
After about an hour and a half of fascinating travel in our comfortable van with an expert guide, we arrive at the home of local fishermen who will be our hosts in this authentic experience.
They will guide us through the entire process, from the preparation to the culmination of the crab harvesting.
With the assistance of the experienced guides, we prepare to board the boat and explore the local greenhouses.
During the approximately 15-minute navigation, we will have the exciting opportunity to lift the nets and collect our own spider crabs, which will later be the protagonist of our lunch.
Back at the cozy restaurant of our fisherman hosts, we will enjoy a delicious three-step lunch.
Starting with the “Dip del Beagle”, followed by the exquisite spider crab and culminating with a dessert that will delight our palates.
After this unique day at the end of the world, we will return to Ushuaia, taking with us the indelible memories of an experience that fuses adventure, nature and local cuisine.
