Welcome to Ushuaia Fin del Mundo. The Ushuaia City Tour is ideal for those visitors who are eager to discover the most emblematic corners of this city of contrasts or simply looking for a moment of relaxation enjoying the beauty of this corner of the world where mountains, sea, glaciers, lakes and forests combine in a breathtaking landscape.
The excursion starts from the hotels. We begin by visiting the La Misión neighborhood, which was the first settlement of the Anglican priests; Today it is a military neighborhood. Then we continue the route to the CADIC roundabout where the Austral Center for Scientific Research is located and we return to Prefectura Naval avenue (avenida de la costa), continuing along Perito Moreno avenue, we pass in front of Paseo del Fuego Shopping, an important commercial center from the city. Later on, we come to the industrial park, which began its activity in 1972 through Law 19640, representing one of the main sources of income for the province. From there, we will go to the so-called Rotonda del Indio, the entrance to the city of Ushuaia, and we will return through Héroes de Malvinas street, making a stop at the Mirador La Colina, one of the most impressive panoramic points of the city.
We continue the Ushuaia City Tour going up Avenida Alem until we reach the viewpoint of the Hotel Las Hayas, another important panoramic point, which offers us excellent landscapes. Later we headed down 12 de Octubre street until we return to Prefectura Naval avenue that leads us to the old Cemetery, where we will make a brief historical review of the Ancient Settlers who rest in that place.
Next we arrive at San Martín street, the main avenue of the city, where you will find most of the restaurants and shops. Then, we go to Deloqui street where we can appreciate the houses of the Old Settlers. We continue to the roundabout of the Maritime Museum and the Presidio and from there, to the Museum of the End of the World, in Maipú street, where the excursion ends.
